You can see how many from each branch recieved the award, and also there is a link on that page that you can choose which branch you want to see each of the names that are still alive. You can even see the citation for which they were put in for the award.
Edit: Yes, Jimmy and Carlos are both correct. The very few that have recieved the award in the two wars we have going on, were awarded it postumously. (After death)

I am still trying to make myself like it but it just isnt as cool as i thought it would be. Still it is very cool that real special forces had a hand in creating the game, unfortunately they are good at killing people and not at designing video games. However it has been dramatized up so much it barely resembles the actual operation. The two teams of Delta and DEVGRU operators in real life were team Juliet, India, and Mako 31. Such events as Takur Ghar also took place during the operation, along with the taking of Bagram Airbase. I have both a PS3 and an Xbox 360 and didn't know which system I should get it on. I heard their might be exclusive items on a certain version of the game but not sure. there are so many in multiplayer.
there are a few in port you run in midair on a invisable wall next to the big stairs in the sub pin. there are diffrent parts to that Glitch like hide in a crate or take a swim and more. all of the stairs on port has a glitch. one other port glicth is the railing next to the crater on the dock. you will run in midair too.
there are some in city the best on is jump 15 feet in the air go to the big clock tower look at those stone blocks find the one were it has a board of wood on it if u get the right speed you will make a big jump.
village has lots you will run in to a glicth with out knowing sometimes. the biggest one is the bullet station on CTF were you get ammo ur screen is red u kill the bad guy. u walk up to it and some how get kill by the person u just killed.
there are a lot of jumps on the craters.
get stuck in a table in the huts run up the stairs at a angle and u will jump and land on a table and get stuck.
the hardest one is go out of bounds go to the part that shows the buildings u cant get to go to the far right move back and run if u get good speed u will almost jump the wall stay there move left next.
theres none that I know of in base or monastery.
but base dose have one I nkow of go to the outer area with the sniper towers u cant get to run at the gate and wall at same time find out what happens.

It never happened. You're thinking of a movie, I can't remember the name, where the female was a doctor onboard a helocopter that went down. There was some conspiracy to boost up the story of her actions to get her a CMH for publicity. It was a pretty bad movie, surprised I remember that much.
Why do I suck at Medal of Honor Heroes 2 for Wii?
I need some tips on how to get better at this game. Whenever I try to take head shots, I keep knocking off others' helmets instead of killing them. Should I be using the crosshair, or zooming in to use the sight? How do you best get a clean shot when running around, and how do I avoid shots? What about weapons? when you snipe aim for the center or the coners of the helments. always use the crosshair.
if they are running across from you far away shoot ahead of them it will always hit them it will delay sometimes, timing is everything shoot first or get shot yourself.
but if you what aton of kills in a row use the M1 bazooka, shotgun

I just got it too and what I do is practice in unranked games. There isn't enough time to use sight to shoot unless it's from a distance. What works is aiming slightly in front of the direction they're going above the neck while circling around them to avoid shots, always keep moving don't hold down the trigger, fire in bursts. Good guns for beginners are thompson, mp, bar, stg. Bazooka is cheap IMO I don't use it. Everyone sucks at first but obviously the more you play the better you know the maps and the better you get at aiming.

Responding to my last question,what is better for the PS3Call of duty 4,Rainbow six or medal of honor airborne
Because so many answers were givenn for my last answer, I was wondering which one to go with, considering we need it to be possibly 4 player campaign or atleast 2 player campaign. Shoud I go with Call of duty 4, Rainbow six vegas or medal of honor airborne. Just about every recipient of this award gave their life or came close to it performing sefless acts to save the lives of others. A medal of honor is just that - commending one for incredible bravery, and it is often awarded after death and given to the family. So you can see how folks may be very offended.
That said, I agree that wearing such a thing is fun! It also keeps it out there, so to speak. Perhaps you could go back to where you got it and ask about its history. Then when people bug you, you can tell them the story - if it's legitimate.

I play unreal tournament 2004 and really enjoy the team atmosphere in alot of the games as well as the action. I have played medal of honor, and found it kinda boring after awhile. There are a number of other shooters out there, but I really don't want to go through testing each one.

What a disgusting of a game. If it wasn't for the battlefield 3 beta i would've never considered getting this game. I was not expecting a lot from medal of honor but I think there was too much hype before the release. it sucks more for the rest of the world who have learn't to spell honor Honour now we have to believe we have spelt it wrong because American Invansion is coming storming the world with this game and the spelling honour spelled wrong. but my question is in a foreign language is it spelled the american way or the british way.... i guess the british since 99 percent of the world follows engilsh and American Engilsh is just 4 americans. now that SUCKS.Does anyone else think Medal of Honor suck?

I've been playing it for two days now and I think it's a hybrid of Battlefield BC 2 and Modern Warfare 2. And while it is a better multiplayer than Modern Warfare 2 I feel that it simply doesn't compare to the strategy and palm-sweating suspense of Battlefield BC 2. Its very poor considering the hype - anyone thinking about buying it should save their money and wait the 2 or so weeks until Black Ops is out.
- should have been in Full 1080 HD for a game of this period
- maps are far too small for the graphics quality, leaving a shootout winner to be best reactor rather than the most skilled
- too many lines of sight for snipers along common rat runs %26amp; spawn points
- scoped in response is jerky and unprecise
- physics are not right. Trying to stand still on some stairways, you end up sliding down!?
- pointless use of Destruction 2.0 engine when there is little to no destruction

Its very poor considering the hype - anyone thinking about buying it should save their money and wait the 2 or so weeks until Black Ops is out.
- should have been in Full 1080 HD for a game of this period
- maps are far too small for the graphics quality, leaving a shootout winner to be best reactor rather than the most skilled
- too many lines of sight for snipers along common rat runs %26amp; spawn points
- scoped in response is jerky and unprecise
- physics are not right. Trying to stand still on some stairways, you end up sliding down!?

Ive seen the trailer about 20 times now and im really hoping that it will be like the next best fps, but im still holding me ground, because the last game in MOH, airborne, really wasent very good, it was so hard to hit people, and it got repetitive.

They are both Very unique stories, and games. I would recommend them both to almost anybody.

The Navy's Medal of Honor was the first approved and the first designed. The initial work was done by the Philadelphia Mint at the request of Secretary of the Navy Gideon Welles. The Mint submitted several designs for consideration, and the one prepared by the Philadelphia firm of William Wilson %26amp; Sons was the design selected.
The selected Medal of Honor design consisted of an INVERTED, 5-pointed STAR. On each of the five points was a cluster of LAUREL leaves to represent victory, mixed with a cluster of OAK to represent strength. Surrounding the encircled insignia were 34 stars, equal to the number of stars in the U.S. Flag at the time in 1862....one star for each state of the Union including the 11 Confederate states. The stars are also symbolic of the "heavens and the divine goal which man has aspired to since time immemorial" according to Charles Thompson, Secretary of the Continental Congress back in 1777.
Inside the circle of 34 stars were engraved two images. To the right is the image of Minerva, the Roman goddess of wisdom and war. On her helmet is perched an owl, representing WISDOM. In keeping with the Roman tradition, her left hand holds a bundle of rods and an ax blade, symbolic of authority. The shield in her right hand is the shield of the Union of our states (similar to the shield on our seal and other important emblems.)
Recoiling from Minerva is a man clutching snakes in his hands. He represented DISCORD and the insignia came to be known as "Minerva Repulsing Discord". Taken in the context of the Civil War soldiers and sailors struggling to overcome the discord of the states and preserve the Union, the design was as fitting as it was symbolic.
The ribbon that held the medal was originally a blue bar on top and 13 red and white stripes running vertically. The 13 represents the original 13 colonies. The color white represents purity and innocence, red represents hardiness, valor and blood, blue signifies vigilance, perseverance and justice. The stripes also represent the rays of the sun. Since this time much of the symbolism in the Medal of Honor has not changed much. The Army MOH was created soon after the original Navy MOH in 1862. It included an Eagle, symbolizing the United States of America, was perched on a cannon and saber grasped in its talons.
In 1904 the Gillespie version of the MOH included a simple portrait of a helmeted Goddess of War to replace the "Minerva repelling discord" scene. The red, white and blue ribbon was replaced with a light blue and 13 white stars. The 13 is once again the original 13 colonies.
In 1919 the Tiffany Cross version of the MOH had a Maltese Cross instead of an inverted star. The Maltese Cross' eight points symbolize the 8 virtues of a knight. A cross itself also represents the four cardinal directions and the sun. This design was discontinued in 1942 due to its unpopularity
In 1965 the Air Force MOH was created and it replaced the Minerva portrait with the head of the Statue of Liberty. Lady liberty has a pointed crown instead of a helmet. And she does stand for liberty although she is derived from the imagery of Semiramis, wife of Nimrod, and Queen of Babylon. Semiramis was famed for her beauty, strength, and wisdom and was said to have built the famous Hanging Gardens of Babylon. She purportedly reigned for 42 years after taking control from Nimrod. She is a mythical figure who might be somewhat based upon a historical figure.

That's only the Air Force Congressional Medal of Honor. There are three versions of the CMoH, Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard. As the Marine Corps is officially a branch of the Department of the Navy they receive the Navy CMoH.
On the Army CMoH there's a picture of the Roman Goddess of War and Wisdom, Minerva. This first appeared in 1904, replacing the original scene of "Minerva Repelling Discord." In 1904 the Gillespie version of the MOH included a simple portrait of a helmeted Goddess of War to replace the "Minerva repelling discord" scene. The red, white and blue ribbon was replaced with a light blue and 13 white stars. The 13 is once again the original 13 colonies.
In 1919 the Tiffany Cross version of the MOH had a Maltese Cross instead of an inverted star. The Maltese Cross' eight points symbolize the 8 virtues of a knight. A cross itself also represents the four cardinal directions and the sun. This design was discontinued in 1942 due to its unpopularity
In 1965 the Air Force MOH was created and it replaced the Minerva portrait with the head of the Statue of Liberty. Lady liberty has a pointed crown instead of a helmet. And she does stand for liberty although she is derived from the imagery of Semiramis, wife of Nimrod, and Queen of Babylon. Semiramis was famed for her beauty, strength, and wisdom and was said to have built the famous Hanging Gardens of Babylon. She purportedly reigned for 42 years after taking control from Nimrod. Why is Lady Liberty on the Medal of Honor?
That's only the Air Force Congressional Medal of Honor. There are three versions of the CMoH, Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard. As the Marine Corps is officially a branch of the Department of the Navy they receive the Navy CMoH.

The Marines dismounted their vehicles and engaged the enemy (which was about 75 yards away, hiding behind a mound of dirt). This lance corporal's Sergeant pursued the enemy and about halfway to the dirt burm they were hiding behind, he got shot. The Lance Corporal hopped off of his vehicle and ran about 40 yards to get his Sergeant. He got there, pick him up and started running. While running with his seargeant, he was shot in the side and he dropped his sergeant. He picked him up again and kept running with him. He then got shot in the neck and dropped his Sgt. again. He picked him up AGAIN and finally made it to safety and when the medic began looking at him, he yelled for the medic to look at his sergeant first.
This Marine survived and was rewarded the Silver Star. Now, if that doesn't warrant a Medal of Honor, I don't know what does.

There is, at times, a VERY fine line between getting the Congressional Medal of Honor (CMOH) and getting a Court Martial.
Old friend of mine (older than me by 4 years) rescued 2 Navy pilots in N. Viet Nam. He was at one point ordered to return to his ship. He stayed and made more than one attempt to land, even tried to hover and pick them up through the trees. When Clyde landed on the USS Jouett (almost out of fuel) he still had branches and leaves in his wheels/struts. His wife brought out the citation one night and she said the citation doesn't really cover all that went on. His CO originally wanted to court martial him for disobeying an order, but the 2 pilots' CO put him in for the CMOH.
Clyde passed away back in '94.
He eventually had a ship named after him around 2001 or 2002. USS Lassen DDG-82.
There have been 2 MOH awarded in Iraq. One in 2003 and one in 2004, to the best of my knowledge, but I'm sure you can do a google.com search to verify that.

6. Recipients who are not on active duty and not military retirees are issued a DoD Identification Card, as are their dependents. It authorizes them military commissary, post exchange, and theater privileges. 7. Children of Medal of Honor recipients are not subject to quotas if they are qualified and desire to attend one of the U.S. military academies.
