What was the name of the Congressional Medal of Honor winner on the Kennedy Center Honors show December 26?

He was a World War II veteran, and one of the veterans on the stage during the presentation for Steven Spielberg. What was the name of the Congressional Medal of Honor winner on the Kennedy Center Honors show December 26?
Not sure who it was but here is the reason it is called the congressional medal of Honor because it is awarded by the President on Behalf of congress. So it seems Congress does have a little something to do with it.

The Medal of Honor is the highest military decoration awarded by the United States. It is often colloquially referred to as the Congressional Medal of Honor because the President presents the award "in the name of the Congress".

So congress does have a little bit to do with it which means tattoo980927 ran his mouth like he knew everything but he is really a idiot. What was the name of the Congressional Medal of Honor winner on the Kennedy Center Honors show December 26?
I don't know, but it is the Medal of Honor. There is no Congressional before it. I don't know why people started putting the Congressional before it. congress has nothing to do with it. There is a committee with the Joint Chiefs who determine if someone has earned it. The president presents the medal to the recipient(or most likely his family, as the majority who earn a MOH died doing so). Why people think Congress has something to do with it I do not know.

Interesting note. Medal of Honor recipients are the only people who rate salutes from everyone in the chain of command from the top to bottom. If a private earned the MOH, he would rate a salute from everyone to the President. It is a sign of respect given to those who commit great acts of bravery with the knowledge they will likely be killed doing so.
