Should George Washington be awarded the medal of honor?

Should George Washington be awarded the medal of honor? He did more for America than any other person in history, and there is a petition(which I encourage everyone to sign) that will be sent to congress asking that he be awarded the medal. What do you think? Do he deserve it? Please sign it.

He is the highest ranking American officer of all time, has both a state and the U.S. capital named for him, has his own monument (which is bigger than everyone else's), and is on the dollar bill. He's been dead for 209 years. I don't think he needs the Medal of Honor.

Why don't you go sign that petition to get Dick Winters the MOH, at least he is alive enough to appreciate it.Should George Washington be awarded the medal of honor?

No George does not qualify for the Medal of Honor.

If you read the requirements you will see that even though he was the one person mostly responsible for our freedom, he did not do the things required for a Medal of Honor.

Lots of people who have done very courageous things do not rise to the level of a Medal of Honor.

His position and actions would most likely get him a Distinguished Service Medal.
I think this covers your question.
